Chatgpt行业指南 How Game Numerical Designers Can Use ChatGPT: Learning Methods and Teaching Guide

I guess the numerical designers for Honor of Kings have probably long used AI to test their heroes' stats. ChatGPT's fundamentals include calculation and logical reasoning, which overlap heavily with calculation and estimation work. Therefore, for numerical designers, using ChatGPT is very necessary; it can not only improve accuracy but also greatly increase efficiency. Below, the moderator has prepared some examples; I hope you will refer to them and draw inferences.

Numerical Balance Estimation
Objective: Help balance values in a game, such as character attributes, skill damage, item prices, etc.
Method: Describe the game mechanics and current values, and let ChatGPT analyze them and propose adjustment suggestions.
For example, "I'm designing an RPG. The current character attack power is 50, and the enemy has 200 HP. Can you help me balance the numerical relationship between the character and the enemy?"

Economy System Design
Objective: Design and optimize the in-game economy system, such as gold acquisition, item purchases, etc.
Method: Input the preliminary settings of the economy system and ask ChatGPT for optimization suggestions.
For example, "In my game, players get 100 gold for each completed quest, and weapons in the shop cost between 500 and 1,000 gold. Is this setting reasonable? What suggestions for improvement do you have?"

Difficulty Curve Adjustment
Objective: Adjust game difficulty based on player progress and feedback.
Method: Describe the game's levels and player feedback, and let ChatGPT provide difficulty adjustment suggestions.
For example, "Players have reported that the early game is too difficult. How should I adjust the difficulty of the first five levels?"

You should use these kinds of prompts as a starting point and then add follow-up prompts. If you are using it for the first time, after using it you will greatly stimulate your creativity and ideas; next, you will think about how to automate it and use ChatGPT's API to write a set of automated calculation tools.
