[交互逻辑] When using ChatGPT, should I choose the Plus web interface or the API, and how should I decide?

I regret to tell you that your money-saving plan is going to fall through—you will almost certainly need to use it. We often use the web interface to explore, learn, and build workflows, and then use the API to implement automation. Specifically, we usually experiment with new features on the web interface, and once the experiment succeeds, we use the API to automate the workflow.

Advantages and Choices of ChatGPT
ChatGPT is at the forefront of AI technology. If you are pursuing high-quality learning content, ChatGPT Plus is undoubtedly the first choice. Currently, each user can use ChatGPT-4o for free 10 times per day. If you feel that these ten free uses are already enough, you do not need to purchase Plus.

Differences
ChatGPT Plus: Provides a free usage quota of 3 hours or 40 uses per day.
API: Pay-as-you-go; it does not support direct image upload, but it supports uploading images after decoding, which consumes a large number of tokens.

Misconceptions
It is important to note that the functions of the API and ChatGPT Plus are not exactly the same. The API uses the base model, not the tuned model used by the ChatGPT web interface. Therefore, when using the API to write prompts, the output may not be as good as that of the web interface, and fairly complex tuning is required.

Recommendations
Learning the latest AI technology: It is recommended to subscribe to ChatGPT Plus to obtain high-quality learning content.
Automated office work: It is recommended to activate the API to automate workflows.
Through the above methods, you can fully leverage the advantages of ChatGPT to improve learning outcomes and work efficiency.
