Alibaba’s earliest AI research direction was digital humans. Several years ago, it used 3D technology to resurrect a deceased daughter for a mother.
At present, the technical research demonstrated by Alibaba Cloud’s digital human EMO far exceeds that of other digital humans. The moderator has studied many digital human projects, and so far none can yet produce videos with motion as realistic, expressions as rich, and dramatic tension as great as Alibaba’s.
EMO can generate a digital human from a single image and a piece of audio. It uses the audio as content, analyzes the emotions and vocal fluctuations within it, and maps them back into the video, endowing the figure in the video with movements and expressions.
The project is currently still in the R&D stage and has just been released. When an official version is launched later, the moderator will update everyone as soon as possible.
